All in the name of ….

The one thing that brought us together was our love for musical and arts in general (And food but that’s another story :)). The first musical we attended together was at Istana Budaya. The concert hall was large and the show was good with lots of singing and dancing. The story is about high school love and dance which we could relate to.

When we were in Melbourne, we also visited Museums and plays. People there tend to really dress up for their major plays which was pretty interesting. And by dressing up, I mean grand evening gowns and suits (It’s probably due to the weather too. It was winter).

Another interesting thing that I can’t seem to find over here are theatre restaurants whereby we can have a 4 or 5 course meal while watching a live theatre performance. The closest would be Crazy Horse which has now closed. The experience was great, though we missed the ending as we had to catch the last tram back home.

When I came to Singapore, I found that the Esplanade offered a good variety of performances too. And lately the government has promoted/organized some events. Some are fashion shows, street shows, water shows and now a performance in the air. The last one I attended was at Clarke Quay and I am hoping to catch the next one at the National Museum of Singapore this weekend! :)

See you over there….
